Referee Touch

Touch NZ is now inviting applications from interested persons for the following Touch NZ National Referee Volunteer positions:

  • Touch NZ National Director of Referees (4-year appointment)
  • Touch NZ National Referee Coaches
  • Touch NZ National Referee Advisory Panel (RAP) Members (2-year appointment)
  • Touch NZ Regional Referee Directors (2-year appointment)

All persons applying for a Touch NZ National Volunteer Referee appointment in 2024 will be required to sign off on the Touch NZ National Referee volunteer appointment applicant declaration form to confirm your understanding of the above requirements.


Application requirements

The following is attached for your consideration in applying:

  • Touch NZ Referee National Volunteer Application Form
  • NZ Police Vetting application Form (if the applicant doesn’t have a current NZ Police Vet)
  • Touch NZ covering recruitment memo and position descriptions for the roles and
  • Touch NZ National Referee volunteer appointment applicant declaration form


All applicants must action the following:

  • Fully complete the Touch NZ Referee National Volunteer Application Form
  • Fully complete the Police Vetting application form (section 2 & 3)
  • Submit a Work/Career CV (as part of the overall package of documentation)
  • Fully complete the Touch NZ National Referee volunteer appointment applicant declaration form


All documentations must be submitted in PDF format by Friday 10 May 2024 5pm.  The Touch NZ National Director of Referees recruitment will be progressed first and the successful Touch NZ National Director of Referees appointee will then lead the recruitment process for the balance of the roles in consultation with the Touch NZ National Referee Lead.


Final decisions will be relayed to all applicants, Provincial & Regional Referee Directors and the referee email group.
