We appreciate your patience at this time as we work through the details of the Youth World Cup Budget for 2021. Given that the event is scheduled to take place in Manchester, England in July 2021, it is our intent in ensuring that all information communicated is as accurate as possible, so as to give the trialist and their families a clear picture of the cost for this event.
We have made the decision to reschedule the trial camp to the September school holiday break now, given the impact of Covid-19 globally and the current Level 4 lock-down status in New Zealand. Should this current situation continue further into the year, then we will have to re-evaluate our revised plans.
The budget is still to be confirmed by Touch New Zealand, however we anticipate the cost being no higher than $6,500.00. This includes:

Furthermore – there will be clear restriction place on all training camps run outside of the two camp budgeted by Touch NZ. This is intended to further control cost placed on players.
We will be advising the coaches who seek to apply for coaching positions that alternative training approaches such as regional training, online learning opportunities and utilising the provincial resources where players resides will form part of the training and development for the 2021 Youth World Cup. This will be non-negotiable from a Touch New Zealand standpoint.
The EOI for the Youth World Cup coaches and managers appointments will be conducted during June and July, at this stage.
