Due to the change in traffic light settings, Touch New Zealand made the decision to cancel both Nationals and Youth Nationals tournaments. This was a tough decision that had to be made as Touch New Zealand staff had been working very hard behind the scenes in preparation of these tournaments, but with everyone’s health and safety in mind the decision was made to cancel these events.

Due to the large number of people attending these events, the chances of infection were too high for organisers to risk.

We are currently working with all the provinces to refund tournament fees, as well as guiding and assisting in the refund process for flights, if your province have any information or questions regarding flight refunds then please get in touch with us and we will assist you where possible.

Touch New Zealand would like to now thank the players and coaches who had put in so much work over the summer to prepare for these tournaments. The decision to cancel these events didn’t come lightly but with everyone’s health and safety in mind we thought we made the right decision.
