Kia ora koutou,
After a really tough last year for many of our module organisers, especially those in Auckland - we're excited the season is finally here!
We need to start this update with an apology.
Our communication to begin the season has been average at best - the by-product of staff departures and some changes to process internally. This has impacted our ability to ensure smooth, consistent & correct comms with you, our community.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused recently. We are working hard to prevent this from happening again.
This e-newsletter will provide some clarity around a few important points for the season ahead:
- Module Packs - Timeline
- Referee Shirts for your Module
- Module promotional support available
- AWHI Awards (Junior Module Certificates)
MODULE PACKS
We're once again excited to confirm we will be distributing Module packs to all affiliated module competitions throughout Aotearoa. This is made possible thanks to the support of our Principal Partner, Bunnings Warehouse.
Note: If you received a Module pack last season and did not run due to the impacts of Covid, or for any other reason - you will use that pack this season (we won't be sending a new one). We'll work with Provincial Associations to confirm the list that we have.
The Module pack this season will consist of the following:
- Balls
- Cones
- Ball Pump
- Mesh Ball bag
- Module organiser t-shirt
- Score cards
- AWHI Certificate (in lieu of Player of the Day) - Junior Modules only
Note: Due to challenges with stock, each module pack will initially have 2 balls - with a further 4 balls sent in January.
Module Pack Timeline is as follows:
- Leaving Touch New Zealand offices from October 10th 2022.
- Arrive at Module Competition Organisers from October 13th onwards
Please note: We require confirmation of physical, preferred address to send your Module pack. This is to avoid sending your module packs to the parks you play at. Please confirm your address via return email to this message.
REFEREE SHIRTS FOR YOUR MODULE
As part of your registration, you would have requested a number of module referee shirts . In previous years, we have sent an assortment of sizes to various modules throughout the country. We will stick with that approach this season.
We are reviewing our records and will aim to distribute stock to modules that haven't received any recently. We will be in touch.
A big thanks to One Foundation & Bartercard, our official referees partner for making this possible.
CELEBRATING AWHI AT JUNIOR MODULES!
A quick update on Player of the Day certificates for our Junior modules. This year, rather than distributing ‘Player of the Day’ awards - we will now provide certificates that focus on the AWHI values of Attitude, Whanau, Harmony & Integrity.
All Junior modules will receive these certificates. Please disregard any old Bunnings Player of the Day certificates as they have been discontinued & will no longer be redeemable.
We will also be in touch with you all about an awesome opportunity to further reward those who earn an AWHI award at your module - so be sure to keep a record of those who are acknowledged! We will be in touch with more information soon.
We're looking forward to working with you this season - thank you for the mahi you do for our game in your community!
