NATIONAL MASTERS COACH POSITIONS
Touch New Zealand (TNZ) are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for suitably qualified coaches who wish to be considered for National Masters Coach positions.
The following age grade teams will compete in a Trans Tasman Series in Townsville,
North Queensland, Australia during the weekend of June 11th to 13th 2010 ;
- Over 50 Men's,
- Over 45 Men’s,
- Over 40 Men’s,
- Over 30 Women’s,
- Over 30 Mixed
- Over 30 Men’s
With the introduction of the Youth Transtasman in 2009 and the success of the recent open Transtasman in Auckland last week TNZ in conjunction with TFA will now introduce this opportunity and pathway for our Masters players, coaches and teams to compete at the International level on a regular basis. National Coaching/Elite Manager Peter Walters says the series will give our NZ masters players top competition and exposure lining them up against Australia 12 months out from Touch World Cup in Scotland in June 2011.
The appointment of the coaches will only include the upcoming 2010 Trans Tasman.
As a minimum, each applicant for a National Masters Coach position should have attained at least a TNZ Level 1 coaching accreditation with a view to attaining their Level 2 within the next 12 months and be actively coaching at Provincial level.
Your expression should include:
* Your CV and current coaching activity over the past 2 years at all levels
* Your particular skill set and areas of expertise
* What you bring to the team to ensure success and ongoing player development
* What attributes you believe players require to represent their country at this level
Applicants may be asked to participate in an interview process.
EOI’s should where appropriate be recommended or supported by the relevant Provincial Association. TNZ may also be looking at previous feedback to support the application.
